Plans change. This page sets out exactly what happens when they do — written to match our terms and conditions rather than to sound generous, because a cancellation policy you find out about after the fact is worse than a strict one you knew about before you paid.
In one line: free cancellation up to 48 hours before your drop-off; inside 48 hours a fee of up to the full booking value may apply at our discretion; and no cancellation is automatic — every one is looked at by a person here.
Our cancellation policy in full
More than 48 hours before drop-off
Bookings offer free cancellation up to 48 hours before your drop-off date. The specific cancellation policy that applies is displayed on each booking before you pay — if what you were shown differs from what is here, what you were shown at the time of booking is what governs your booking.
Inside 48 hours of drop-off
Cancellations made within 48 hours of drop-off may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the booking value, at our discretion. That is the term as it stands, and we would rather print it plainly than bury it. In practice, tell us what has happened — the sooner we know, the more likely we can do something.
No-shows
If you do not arrive and have not told us in advance, no refund is issued. A phone call the night before costs you nothing and changes that conversation entirely.
Changing dates instead of cancelling
Moving your dates is an amendment, not a cancellation, and it is usually the better route. Amendments are subject to availability and may change the price — a stay moved into August or a school holiday is priced differently from one in February. Contact us as early as you can at bookings@parkingbristolairport.co.uk or on 07960 011047.
How to cancel
1. Call us — the fastest route
07960 011047, answered 24 hours a day, by us rather than a call centre. This is the right route if you are travelling within the next day or so, or if anything about the booking is unusual. Have your MAG- booking reference to hand and it takes a minute.
2. Request it from your confirmation email
Every booking confirmation we send contains a “manage your booking” link. It opens a page that is private to your booking, where you can update your return flight details and, under Need to cancel?, send us a cancellation request with an optional reason.
Be clear about what that button does: it sends us a request, and nothing else happens automatically. It does not cancel your space and it does not refund your card. We read every request by hand and come back to you. If your drop-off is imminent, use the phone instead.
One request is enough. If you send it and do not hear back, please ring rather than send another — a second request only tells the office the same thing twice. The link works from the email only, and it stops working once your trip is over; if you cannot find the email, call us and we will pull the booking up from your reference.
3. Email us
bookings@parkingbristolairport.co.uk, with your booking reference in the subject line. Slower than the phone, and not the route to use inside 48 hours of travelling.
What happens to your money
Where we agree a refund, it goes back to the card you paid with. Card refunds usually take five to ten working days to show up on a statement — that is your bank’s timescale, not ours, and it is why a refund that has been issued can still be invisible for over a week.
The rule to hold on to: if we have not told you directly that a refund has been issued, assume it has not been. A cancellation request that has been received is not the same thing as a cancellation that has been agreed, and neither is the same thing as money moving. Our own manage-booking page says exactly this, in exactly these terms, and this page is not going to promise you something the booking system does not do.
If you paid nothing — some bookings are taken without an upfront payment — then there is nothing to refund, and cancelling simply releases the space.
Your rights in law
The 48-hour window above is our contractual policy. It sits alongside the rights you have as a consumer under UK law, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 — nothing on this page or in our terms takes any of those away.
If you believe you have a right to cancel that goes beyond our published policy, tell us and we will deal with it properly rather than point at a clause. If you want independent guidance, Citizens Advice is the place to start.
Things that are not cancellations
- A delayed return flight. You do not need to cancel anything. If you gave us your return flight number we track it and have your car ready when you actually land — the full explanation is here.
- A change of vehicle. Ring us with the new registration. You must arrive in the vehicle whose registration is on the booking.
- A change of dates. That is an amendment — see above.
- No confirmation email. A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email containing a reference beginning MAG-. If you paid and nothing arrived, call us before you do anything else — and please do not pay a second time.
How Bristol Airport’s own car parks compare
If you booked directly with the airport rather than with us, their terms apply, not ours. As published on Bristol Airport’s own pages and checked on 2 August 2026:
- Free amendment or cancellation up to 48 hours before your stated car park arrival time.
- A £5 amendment fee after that point.
- Overstay is charged at £35 per day on a pre-booked stay, in every one of their car parks. If you did not pre-book, standard gate rates apply for the extra time.
Those are the airport’s terms for the airport’s car parks. Confirm them on the airport’s own parking pages before you rely on them — car park terms and charges change, and theirs moved in January 2026.
Booked through an aggregator or comparison site? Their cancellation terms apply, and they are frequently stricter than either of the above, with a booking fee that is not refunded even when the parking is. Check who you are actually contracting with before you assume anything.
Two things that make a cancellation painless
- Book early. It is cheaper, and it puts far more distance between you and the 48-hour line if plans wobble. See the cheapest parking guide.
- Save the confirmation email. It carries your reference and the manage-your-booking link, and it is the one thing that makes everything on this page take two minutes instead of twenty.
This page describes our published terms as at 2 August 2026 and is a summary — the terms and conditions are the contract. If the two ever disagree, the terms and conditions win, and please tell us so we can fix this page.
